Research Focus
My research focus on the development and application of cutting-edge single-cell technologies to address critical challenges in immunology and infectious diseases. My key objectives are:
(1). High-Throughput Droplet Microfluidics platform: Developing droplet microfluidic platforms that link single-cell multi-omics with functional screening to decipher complex immune repertoires;
(2). Antibody Discovery & B Cell Biology: Establishing novel methods for the efficient discovery of antibodies from memory B cells and plasma cells targeting infectious diseases (e.g., SARS-CoV-2, HIV-1, Influenza, Mpox). A major focus is characterizing antigen-specific B cells, particularly the unique features of Antigen-specific Long-Lived Plasma Cells (LLPCs);
(3). T Cell Functional Analysis: Developing droplet-based assays to evaluate single T cell responses (including cytokine secretion and cytotoxicity) and screening pathogen- or tumor-specific functional T cells for downstream multi-omic characterization and immunotherapy
